In the morning we collect you from your accommodation at about 09.30am. We then take you to the truffle hunter’s farmhouse, where he will give you some information about truffles, where and how they grow etc.

You will then meet the specially trained truffle dogs and go into their private woods to search for truffles. After ’the hunt’ you will have a tasting of Truffle with local Salami, Cheese and Barbera D’Asti DOCG wine.

After lunch we take you to 1 or 2 wineries in the Barbaresco area, where you can taste wines from different Cru vineyards and vintages including the famous Barbaresco wine.

During the day we will also drive through the UNESCO landscape vineyards to visit some of the beautiful ‘Barbaresco’ villages. 

For this tour you drive yourselves to the truffle hunter’s farmhouse (or we can provide transport at an additional charge). There is an introduction about truffles, types, where they are found, how they grow etc.

You would then meet the specially trained dogs and go into their private wood to search for truffles. After the hunt, you would have a tasting of Truffle with local cheese, salami and Barbera D’Asti DOCG wine.

* From April to 20th September the tasting will be Summer Black Truffle and from 21st September until 21st December it is possible to find and taste the famous White Truffle. 

We collect you from your accomodation and drive through beautiful Monferrato landscape to the Truffle hunters home.

This really is a unique and authentic experience! In the morning you go for a 'Real' truffle hunt with the truffle hunter and his truffle dog in their local woods. 

Afterwards you will have lunch at the farmhouse, which will be a traditional home cooked Piemontese meal served with fresh White Truffle and wines. The truffle hunter is also great winemaker, so you can also visit the cellar where you can try a selection of wines from the Monferrato region, including some high quality Barbera D'Asti DOCG wines. 

There is also the option of making the fresh pasta for your lunch at the farmhouse before the truffle hunt. After we drop you back at your accomodation at approximately 4pm.

If you are lucky enough to be able to come during the months of October and November, you must definitely take a trip to Alba and visit the White Truffle fair there.

If you want to do a full day tour, in the afternoon we can stop off at one of the prestigious local cantinas near Alba. Here we would take a tour of their beautiful cellars and sample 3 or 4 of their amazing wines afterwards.
